The Martian - Bing Watney Home campaign
Follow along with Bing Maps as we track Astronaut Mark Watney's journey across Mars from the Ares 3 landing site to the Schiaparelli Basin in an effort to rescue and bring him back to Earth.
For those not familiar with the story, The Martian is a book turned movie about Mark Watney – an astronaut who gets left behind on Mars after an accident and must science the #### out of his environment in order to make it back home.
Part of a larger cross-Microsoft initiative, Bing will bring Mark’s story to life through an interactive Bing Maps experience that follows his journey across Mars over 20 days in a desperate attempt to get him back home
Project Beekeeper was a Hackathon project to build a cloud infrastructure that enables IOT devices within beehives to collect, parse, and display telemetry around the health of a hive. Using augmented reality, we can display that data as a beekeeper interacts with the hive. With data available from the web, a beekeeper can monitor the status of any number of hives remotely, and share the data with farmers and scientists. By democratizing this information, the more we'll be able to study and understand the impacts humans and environment have on the $200B dollar agriculture industry that relies on bees to pollinate their crops.
Escape from XP is a fun, web-based video game that celebrates and brings closure to the end of support for Windows XP and IE6, encouraging users to upgrade to the latest version of Windows. In Escape from XP, you are the last web developer in the apocalyptic world of Windows XP seeking to destroy support for IE6 and XP once and for all. A classic 2D side scrolling king-of-the-hill style game, you fend off endless waves of mutated XP icons. Can you put an end to XP?

Bing Elections Center 2014
Unfortunately, while voters in America care about politics, two issues continue to surface around getting people to the polls: 1) don’t understand the impact mid-term elections has on their daily lives or 2) they are overwhelmed by news and media and lean toward not voting because they feel unprepared.
At Bing, we built out an Elections Guide within our search engine. It's a digital version of the paper guide you get in the mail, with a couple big differences: - Bing Elections is powered by our search engine, enabling you to explore the topics you care about - Compare candidates side by side on their stance around national issues - See and explore all the initiatives, issues, and candidates appearing on your ballot - Links and phone numbers to your state and local representatives

The Moon Drawings project is an effort of the Moon Arts Group, an initiative at Carnegie Mellon University to extend the reach of artistic expression to the Moon. Using this web site, you can contribute a drawing—which will be micro-etched on a sapphire disc, sent to the Moon aboard a robotic lander/rover, and potentially traced by the rover into the Moon's soil. The disc of drawings, contained in a sculpture called the Moon Arts Ark, and generously conveyed to the Moon by our partners at Astrobotic Technology and the CMU Planetary Robotics Team, will be shuttled to the Moon from Cape Kennedy in 2016 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. It will remain there for potentially millions of years.
